(Neurons under microscope) Alzheimer’s disease also known to doctors as AD, is an irreversible accelerating brain disease that slowly causes memory loss, behavioral issues and eventually leading to loss of bodily functions and death. The reason that the memory loss begins is because of failures and hold ups in certain body parts. As the failures and hold ups keep occurring it will cause the cells to lose their jobs and start to die, which causes permanent changes to the brain. Doctors have now started to use embryonic stem cells and skin cells to re-create brain cells, linked to learning skills and memory loss. By doing these tests and experiments it could possibly lead to breakthroughs to help keep brain cells from dying and could potentially bring us to a cure or at least new trials for Alzheimer’s.
